Sauteed Mushrooms

During the summer (aka peak grilling season), we have steak at least once a week and these keto mushrooms are always requested on the side.  These sauteed mushrooms are keto-safe and rival any steak house mushrooms.  They are simple, fast and easy.

With the addition of lots of grass-fed butter, they are a nice complement to a delectable prime rib or sirloin steak dinner while on the keto diet.  For the traditional red meat lovers, these sauteed mushrooms are the bomb.

(If eating prime rib or sirloin steak, make sure to add extra butter because the protein content gets high with that big of a meat portion.  You can also take the bonus tip at the end of this recipe and create a flavorful dipping sauce for your meat.)

Instructions
  1. Heat medium size saute non stick pan to medium heat.
  2. Add butter and allow to melt. Stir around pan.
  3. Add all mushrooms. Cover pan with lid and allow mushrooms to cook for 5-10 minutes until fully cooked.
  4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt and soy sauce to pan.
  5. Cook uncover until liquid has evaporated and you have a nice thick mushroom mixture.
Recipe Notes

BONUS: -Using the leftover liquid, you can use it as is and pour it over a steak for additional flavor. Or, you can bring the pan to a boil and add a few Tbsp of heavy whipping cream. Allow the mixture to boil rapidly for about 5-10 minutes. It will thicken and become a very flavorful dipping sauce for your steak.
