Balsamic Brie Salmon

A tasty salmon recipe.  All of the extras to this salmon give it it's extra special taste.  Don't leave out the balsamic, pecans or brie!  Make sure the brie is melted nicely when finished.

Instructions
  1. Bake pecans at 300F for 10 minutes. Watch them, don't let them burn, just toast.
  2. Remove from oven and set aside.
  3. In 9 x 13" baking dish pour melted butter and coat bottom of pan.
  4. Lay out room temp salmon on pan.
  5. Drizzle balsamic vinegar evenly on all salmon filets.
  6. Mix seasonings (thyme, onion powder and salt in a bowl).
  7. Sprinkle each salmon filet evenly with seasonings mix.
  8. Cut brie cheese into even slices about 1/4" thick and set on top of salmon filets.
  9. Allow salmon to sit for about 10 minutes to allow balsamic to soak filets.
  10. Bake at 325F for 10-15 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven, top with pecans and serve!
  12. If desired, drain the reserved liquid from the 9x13" pan and slowly whisk in xanthan gum. It will thicken the reserved liquid to make a thicker sauce to drizzle on the salmon for serving.
